Transfers and Instas
Aside from impressing at the Weyr, there are three ways to join Fort Weyr as a rider.
In-Game Transfer
Those with rider characters already on NorConMUSH may apply to transfer from another Weyr. This is considered an in-game transfer.
Off-Game Transfer
Players may also apply to transfer a rider from another game as long as the character’s background can be reworked to fit into NorCon’s theme. This is considered an off-game transfer.
Insta-Riders and Insta-Weyrlings
Lastly, players who would like to start a new dragonrider while skipping the impression process, may apply for an insta-rider or insta-weyrling.
Transfers and Insta-Riders
Fort’s transfer process applies to in-game transfers, out-of-game transfers, and insta-riders alike. We are allowed 5 off-game transfers or instas per hatching rotation and do require permission from a character’s current Weyr for on-game transfers. Insta-Weyrlings
Insta-weyrlings are handled a little differently. At the conclusion of a search cycle a number of insta-weyrling slots will be made available based on the number of NPC dragons hatched. Players may apply for available slots only, based on the composition of the clutch. Typically, insta-weyrling slots will be for brown, blue or green dragons only. For the current clutch, we have slots for brown, green and blue available.
