Rivellan’s Conspiracy
Ongoing
Building on the Fabric Plot and Doody Plot, the Fort Sea plot deals with the relationships bewteen minor holds and major holds in the Fort region and Fort Sea’s ambitions to become a major economic power.
Turn 20
Month 3 – Ruatha River’s Holder dies. Hattie’s brother Rhuvawn becomes Holder of Ruatha River.
Month 6 – The engagement of Rhuvawn and Eidee of Fort Sea is announced.
Month 7 – The marriage of Rhuvawn and Eidee of Fort Sea takes place.
Month 8 – Supplies start to go missing or late at Fort Weyr. Mid-month, the first tithe to arrive from Ruatha River is short, though all seems well with items arriving from Fort Sea so far.
Month 9 – Fort Sea makes up the shortfall from Ruatha River’s tithe. But why?
Month 10 – Fort Sea’s daughter Jiella makes herself into quite the arm ornament at Fort’s Gather. Counterfeit goes around at the Gar trading fair – the marks are glasscraft this time. B’kaiv goes undercover at Fort Seahold as a guard and discovers large amounts of textiles being shipped into the hold, a lot of fake beastcraft marks and a lot of ‘traders’ who don’t have wagons and get around by boat and other various whisperings while he’s there. Kinda fishy.
Month 12 – Several ships and a trader caravan are raided in the Fort region. The crews and traders are generally left alone, though knocked out so as not to identify their attackers. The cargo however, is all lifted.
Month 13 – Riders from the Weyr and a contingent of guards from Fort Hold raid a supply depot hidden off the coast of Gar and discover the counterfeiting press. D’kai and B’kaiv are amongst the riders present during the raid. A large amount of Gar marks were also found hidden in a jar in the depot’s kitchen along with many of the missing supplies from various delivery runs to the Weyr and other points in the Fort region. Much celebration results at the Weyr. The Weyrleader, mildly drunk nearly breaks his word to the Weyrwoman as regards getting a little too close to candidates, specifically Jiella, though ultimately she has some interesting information about why she was sent to the Weyr.
Turn 21
Month 1 – Elaruth and Mikhuth’s eggs hatch. Several of the bloods searched go on to impress including At’re (Atreyan) to bronze Khazioth, Dashaya to green Jheilinth and Jiella to brown Orisoth. The latter causes outrage and anger in Holder Rivellan of Fort Sea and leads to a heated dispute between the holder and the Weyrleader behind closed doors in the lower caverns. The Weyr is locked down for two days straight as a result of the blizzard that whipped up on the very heels of the hatching itself.
Month 3 – Two ships go missing early in month 3, presumably due to the stormy seas between Fort and Ista in early spring.
Month 4 – A hacked and ‘shark’-bitten body washes up on shore and proves to be that of the seacrafter journeyman who accompanied the “Scudder” on her ill-fated voyage across the Fort/Ista bay. What happened to the “Scudder”? Where is the rest of her crew? What about her cargo? Given the injuries to the journeyman, was she raided, or was there perhaps a mutiny on board?
Month 5
Day 28 – Esraval, Steward of Fort Hold and the Lord Holder’s younger brother proposes to Isobel of Gar. She accepts conditionally as long as her father grants his permission.
