Mating Flights

Dragon Age: 9 months – 10 months

Suggested RP/Vignette Topics

  • Mating flights are the topic of small breakout sessions, often divided by sex. Play or write about having The Talk with a weyrlingmaster about the basics of flights, what happens, what to expect, what the etiquette is and so on.
  • Have a one-on-one conversation about flights, sexual health and reproduction/prevention with a weyrlingmaster or your mentor.
  • Explore the topic in a one-on-one with your dragon. Are you excited? Freaked out? What about your dragon? What do you both think about the whole thing?

Milestones

Dragonet

  • Some precocious males may start clumsily chasing. (Please clear any early chasing with the weyrlingmasters.)
  • Dragons are just over three-quarters of their full size.
  • Dragons feed every other day.

Weyrling

  • Weyrlings may feel that their schedules are even more grueling than ever with regular physical exercise, drilling, duties. The up side is that your free time is your free time and most dragons will let you sleep when you want to sleep at this age.
  • Weyrlings rotate through a schedule of wingleadering and wingseconding the Weyrling Wing.

Daily Schedule

(This is a guideline only and is intended to give you an idea of how a typical Weyrling’s day might go.)

    6:00 AM – Physical training
    7:00 AM – Breakfast
    8:00 AM – Air Drills/Rope Drills
    11:00 AM – Visualization Practice
    12:00 PM – Lunch
    1:00 PM – Other Practice
    2:00 PM – Duties
    5:00 PM – Designated homework/straps/punishment time
    6:00 PM – Dinner/free time

Rules & Restrictions

  • Male dragons may start chasing as long as it’s cleared OOCly with the WLM-team.
  • Weyrlings may fly Between anywhere in the coverage area, unsupervised.
  • Weyrlings must salute all riders, and may salute or bow to ranking Crafters and Holders.
