  10. Halaina and pale green Gofraith. Out of Burnt Geometry Egg. Fortian native Halaina was very … casual about the whole standing thing throughout candidacy though she was also helpful with anyone who needed an orientation to the Weyr. Her mother’s a rider, her father’s a handyman at the Weyr and she was mostly raised in the lower caverns in typical weyrbrat fashion with a foster-mother who is a laundress and spending a lot of her time with the other weyrkids: harper lessons in the morning, chores and playtime in the afternoon, dinner with the other kids and bedtime either with her fosterer or in the kids’ dorms until she started working with her father on repair jobs around the Weyr when she was 14. At 18, she’s got a very pragmatic attitude towards life. Gofraith is thoughtful, a little dreamy-eyed and sweet.
Over to the far side of the clutch, after looking what seems like half the candidate class dead in the eye, the second hatchling finally decides upon a girl with tousled brown hair. She’s even Weyrbred too, nothing for holders to complain about there, and it’s a storybook picture when she loses her jaded attitude in hugging her green’s pale neck.
  11. D’vel (Daivel) and golden-brown Mozith. Out of the Cheer Up Emo Egg. D’vel and Mozith are a ‘matching set’ of cheerful guys, paired up it seems for their similar outlooks on life. They’re both laid-back and chipper, sort of the stereotypically ’steady’ brownpair. D’vel is 19 and hails from Boll, where he was a senior apprentice glasscrafter.
A warm-colored paw emerges from the Cheer Up Emo Egg and scrambles for footing, while the Is It Watching Me? Egg hatches with more alacrity… but instead it’s a cheerful brown whose hide errs more towards gold than bronze, and a vibrant speckled green with thin, strong-looking wings.
  12. S’lien (Salien) and speckled green Eyith. Out of the Is It Watching Me? Egg. One of the younger boys in the candidate group, Salien turned 16 just a few days before the hatching. He’s pretty much a wide-eyed innocent from Ruatha, holdbred, where he helped his father with raising runners. Eyith is sparkling, sparky and a little sly.

Weyrlings from Mecaith and Peirith’s Clutch

Other Weyrlings
To apply for an Insta-Weyrling, please see the instructions on our Transfers and Instas page. Please note that we are offering TWO insta-weyrling slots for this cycle. The concepts below are those available to possibly fill those slots.

  • Transforming the Myth Egg – Blue impressed to a male or female rider. Ideally this concept is an ‘older’ weyrling, close to the upper age limit, perhaps having stood before and been passed over more than once.
Meanwhile, in the thick of things, the Transforming the Myth Egg hatches out a blue who Impresses with even less fanfare.
  • VTOL-Motor – Big, bony green impressed to a boy. This could possibly be the ‘Tiny Tim’ matchup of the clutch, with the strong, determined green and a more reticent rider who has a lot to learn about matching his lifemate without getting overwhelmed by her.
One of the first-hatched greens, the big bony one with the dark neckridges, leaves shards and sister behind as she skids toward the ring of candidates. She hunts out clusters, ignores singletons, and finally all but chases her chosen boy out from behind his friends. Impression is made, and perhaps ten meters in front of the the dignitaries’ tier at that, quite as though the Weyrleaders had planned for these important visitors to have the best view. T’rev, without faltering, points out the green’s determination as a sign of strength, down where the Weyrleaders stand just beneath that tier, and Cirse was practicing her impassive look anyway, though she does lift a glance to her junior in Impression’s wake. She even smiles. There wasn’t even any blood.
  • Flawed Glory Egg – Blue impressed to a boy from Southern. Possible ideas for this concept: fish out of water given the Southern background. Southern does not have to mean Southern Weyr and/or Hold however. Any location on the Southern continent.
Cirse glances up to the ledges where Peirith overlooks the event, then touches T’rev’s arm to get his attention for a moment’s whisper, before another Impression claims attention: a lanky blue that had just hatched from the Flawed Glory Egg, looking into the eyes of a dark-tanned Southern boy.
  • Beware the Loch or Where’s My Aquarium? Blue or green, both with calm demeanors impressed to boys. Possible concepts: the riders’ tempers /match/ the dragon or are complete opposites.
Two watery eggs on opposite sides of the clutch, silvery Beware the Loch Egg and scaled-seeming Where’s My Aquarium? Egg, simultaneously release a blue and a green to totter away from their shells. One mirror-image look up at Elaruth later, and they’re off to find their new lifemates with unusual calmness.
  • Also available: Weyrlings from Peirith and Mecaith’s clutch which hatched 8/13/20. These weyrlings are currently pushing the 6-7 month mark and getting ready to move out of the Barracks, but will /overlap/ with Elaruth and Mikhuth’s clutch for the first month, especially the smaller dragons or any dragons/weyrlings that are being held back from moving out for a particular reason. Preference is for apps for female blueriders or male green/blueriders who are having problems of some kind that need to be worked out. Please be aware that you will likely be the only player playing a rider from this clutch. This is an opportunity to apply for a very particular concept and role, so please provide a very complete background, dragon personality and rider personality. If you’re interested in playing a short-term character, this is also possibly an opportunity to have a character die in late Weyrlinghood.
